Dark Chamber Orchestra is the vehicle for the symphonic experiments of Colombian/Canadian musician and sound designer Luis Valoyes.
Born and raised in Bogota (COL) in 1977, Luis Valoyes studied architecture and worked in the social housing industry in Colombia for nearly a decade, keeping his musical and creative interests on the side, only ocassionally entering local composition competitions, and even earning an award for an animated short film in 2010.
After moving to Canada in 2016, Valoyes decided to pursue his lifelong passion for music and sound, so he entered the Multimedia Sound Production program in the Cégep de Drummondville (QC), and after finishing it he was hired as Sound Designer for a small casino-games company, where he produced music and sound effects for multiple slots machines.
In 2021, he relocated to Montreal, where he started working towards the launch of his own sound design company, and where he also hopes to continue exploring his musical interests.
The music of Dark Chamber Orchestra is the product of that ingenuous exploration, and it is offered to the public with the hope that it can be useful for some creators who look for a different sound for their productions.
Enjoy!
